DPWH NSSDEO completes Php46M San Roque By-Pass Road under contract with ESD Cruz Construction and Supply.

The DPWH-Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (NSSDEO) spearheaded by District Engineer David Paco Adongay Jr.  has recently completed the construction of the By Pass and Diversion Road in San Roque, Northern Samar on August 10, 2021 under contract with ESD Cruz Construction & Supply and supervised by Project Engineer Analyn Mananguite.

The DPWH allocated P46.7 million from F.Y. 2021 - Regular Infrastructure for the project which covered the widening/concreting of the 1.259.62-kilometer roadway, including the installation of 153.00 set of solar street light with accessories and concrete pedestal.

“The current completion of the mentioned project enhances travel time, improves governance and generates employment to Nortehanons especially the marginalized sectors of the society.”, DE Adongay stated.

This diversion road widening project will help in the decongestion of the town center, and at the same time improve road user’s safety. In addition, this by-pass road will serve as the fastest alternate road of motorists as it deviates from the busy area of San Roque town proper.

Furthermore, this project will facilitate safer and more convenient alternative route of travelers along Pambujan-San Roque-Mondragon Road; accommodate the anticipated large volume in the future and deconcentrate traffic from towns and municipalities for public safety.
