Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds to feature NFT, set to release in early summer 2022

Netmarble has opened global pre-registration for Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds on Google Play and Apple App Store. Those who pre-register will receive rewards such as the Explorer Outfit and Catarumpus Hat cosmetics. The mobile game will release in the early summer of 2022.

Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds is a collaborative mobile MMORPG game developed by Netmarble and Level-5. Players assume the role of Soul Divers, the participants of a futuristic immersive kingdom.

On the gameplay front, it features PvP, PvE, and multiple playable classes, including Swordsman, Witch, Rogue, Destroyer, and Engineer.

The mobile game also has music from Joe Hisaishi with cut-scenes from Studio Ghibli (the Japanese animation film studio behind famous titles like Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro).

Those who pre-register for the free-to-play mobile title on Google Play or Apple App Store will receive an Explorer Outfit once the game launches. If you join the game's official Discord server, you will also obtain a Catarumpus Hat and a Special Title. These pre-registration rewards are only redeemable once per account.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds - blockchain technology

On the other hand, Netmarble will also include NFT elements to Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds as per the latest reports. During the company's 5th NTP event held last January, it unveiled 20 game titles that are currently in development. After a month, it launched its proprietary blockchain ecosystem called MBX. The MBX token, revealed last February, recently started servicing the Marblex Wallet, which uses a Klaytn mainnet based blockchain ecosystem. One of Netmarble's games that incorporated the said token is A3: Still Alive.

JRPG title Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, built on Unreal Engine 4 aiming for stunning visuals, was released last year in South Korea and parts of East Asia and became an instant hit.

Besides Android and iOS, Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds will also be playable on the PC platform.
