Nokia has announced that it is launching the newest member of the G-series family, the Nokia G21, in the Philippines.
The Nokia G21 smartphone is powered by a 1.6 GHz 12nm Unisoc T606 octa-core processor, coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
Moreover, it boasts three-day battery life with its 5,050mAh battery, supporting 18W fast-charging via USB-C.
Users can turn on the new bespoke Super Battery Saver mode to extend the life of their phone even further. They can even specify precisely where energy savings are made to ensure they retain access to critical features. The Nokia G21 enables this feature to be activated at 20% rather than waiting until the battery reaches 10% (as the standard Android solution does), allowing users to extend its duration even further.
For cameras, it features a 50MP triple-lens camera that enables anyone to create professional-looking images. On the front is the AI smart 8MP lens that ensures evening selfies have the optimal amount of light and clarity.
For the first time in G-series, Nokia G21 flaunts a 6.51-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The increased refresh rate improves the fluidity of scrolling and typing, as well as the appearance of photos. Another first for the series is that users can now stream Netflix in HD, allowing for optimal on-the-go viewing of fan-favorite movies and TV shows.
Nokia G21 runs on the Android 11 OS. For a minimum of three years, monthly security updates are included. Also, the device is ready for Android 12, ensuring that users always have access to the latest features and a longer-lasting smartphone.
Regarding security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. In addition, the Mask mode ensures that the convenience of the face unlock function is never interrupted – keeping user data secure with or without a protective face mask.
The Nokia G21 will come pre-installed with Spotify and ExpressVPN (with a 30-day free trial for the VPN).
