Smart to rebrand Sun Postpaid to Smart Postpaid on April 25, 2022

Smart Communications has announced that the Sun Postpaid brand will be officially rebranded to Smart Postpaid beginning April 25, 2022.

Along with this transition, all Sun Postpaid or Sun Broadband packages and products like Non-Stop LTE Plan and Fixed Load Plan (FLP) will no longer be available. Smart, however, assures consumers that they will still be able to use their existing SIM and plan inclusions.

Smart also added that there would be no changes to your current contract term. All your remaining months within the contract will stay the same.

As part of the rebrand, Sun Postpaid customers can also take advantage of benefits from Smart, such as faster 5G internet speeds, simpler account management with the GigaLife App, and access to an easy upgrade to other Smart Signature packages.

Those still using non-LTE SIM are encouraged to upgrade to an LTE SIM.

For postpaid needs, Smart encourages new customers to avail themselves of Smart Signature plans.

You can keep your Sun Cellular Postpaid number even after it becomes Smart Postpaid.

If you're subscribed to Sun Fixed Load Plan (FLP), you can keep using your plan and its inclusions even after your Sun Cellular number becomes Smart. Your Sun FLP will remain Sun FLP but will be rebranded as Smart FLP. That being said, you should still be able to use your FLP inclusions. Moreover, Smart Prepaid Top-ups and Add-ons are available through Smart Prepaid Retailers and Smart Stores.

Moreover, once your Sun Postpaid number becomes Smart, you will be able to use the GigaLife App to manage your account, check usage, and pay your bills, among others.

Regarding availing of add-ons via *123#, it will no longer be available, but you may still dial *123# for other Postpaid Services. Sun Postpaid customers who do not subscribe to a Fixed Load Plan may download the GigaLife App to access add-ons easily.

To activate roaming services, you may call *888 to request roaming activation before leaving the Philippines. When you reach your destination country, turn on your roaming service thru your device and follow the instructions. Then, go to the Smart GigaRoam website ( to choose your preferred roaming pack.
