International Leagues

Riot Games will host three international leagues in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, in which teams will fight for a position in global tournaments such as the Masters and Champions. If all health and safety requirements are met, the leagues will be held on LAN with live audiences.

Riot will operate a "selective application process" throughout 2022 to choose teams as "long-term partners."

Teams who meet the criteria will receive financial support from Riot Games in the form of an annual stipend, as well as an opportunity to collaborate on in-game products.

Domestic leagues and a new competitive in-game mode

Riot Games has announced it will establish domestic leagues that will "expand opportunities for up-and-coming talent who aspire to reach elite international leagues."

The new competitive mode will launch in 2023 and will run alongside ranked. Players can create teams to qualify for the domestic leagues.

Details about the new in-game esports mode, including a release date, have yet to be revealed.

Game Changers leagues and third-party tournaments

Game Changers, Valorant's competitive circuit for women and other marginalized genders, will expand to more countries and areas as well as receive a Championship tournament in 2023.

Meanwhile, during off-seasons, Riot is open for third-party tournaments.
