Garena has announced that the Southeast Asia (SEA) Wildcard Round will run from May 6 to 7. The SEA Wildcard matches for this Arena of Valor tournament will take place in the lead-up to AIC 2022 later this year, in which 4 teams from Southeast Asia will participate.
A thrilling battle between four powerful teams from across the region will determine who advances to the group stage of the AoV International Championship (AIC) in 2022. Along with qualifying for the global tournament, the winner will earn a USD 3000 prize pool.
Southeast Asia (SEA) Wildcard Round Game Format
On May 6 and 7, the SEA Wildcard Round will be held, with a team representing each of Southeast Asia's regions - Indonesia (AoV Star League), Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. Teams will compete in this round over two days, with the SEA Wildcard Semi Finals taking place on May 6 and the Finals taking place on May 7.
The SEA Wildcard round will be divided into two phases:
- Semi Finals: May 6
- Grand Finals: May 7
Teams participating in the SEA Wildcard round are as follows:
- ARCHANGEL (Indonesia)
- Tamago (Singapore)
- IMPERIAL ESPORTS (Philippines)
- A DOPE TEAM (Malaysia)
The Semi Finals will be contested in a best-of-three format, with the two teams with the best record advancing to the Grand Finals. The Grand Finals will be a best-of-five matchup, with the winner advancing to the AIC 2022 Group Stages. All matches played during the Wildcard round will be subject to global ban pick rules.
