Asus ROG has announced the new additions to its ROG Strix and Flow lineups, the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition and the ROG Flow X16, as well as an expansion to the ROG Slash fashion line and a new standalone first-person parkour game for ROG Citadel XV.
The ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition (SE) is powered by a 12th-generation Intel Core i9-12950HX processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU and a 17.3-inch IPS display with a 3ms response time, Adaptive Sync compatibility, and Dolby Vision support.
The gaming laptop is equipped with up to 64GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM, up to 4TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD in RAID 0 array, and a 90Wh battery.
The ROG Flow X16, on the other hand, has an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor coupled with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU with a MUX Switch, and either a mini LED QHD or IPS QHD 16-inch display with the same 165Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 16:10 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3-protected touchscreen.
The ROG Flow X16 features up to 64GB of DDR5 4800 MHz RAM, up to 4TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and a 90Wh battery capacity.
Both gaming laptops exude cyberpunk aesthetics, with the ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE featuring a conventional form factor and metal chassis. The ROG Flow X16 is a 360-degree convertible with a thickness of only 19.4mm.

In addition, Asus has expanded the ROG Slash fashion line, which is again inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics, to include the Crossbody Bag, Backpack, Hip Bag, and Protective Laptop Bag, all of which are constructed from water-repellent TPU. Also available are the Cobra Buckle Cap and the Bucket Hat.
Further, the ROG Citadel XV game receives the SCAR Runner expansion, a first-person parkour game depicting the story of 'X'. The design accents of the ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE chassis conceal in-game hints that can be revealed using ultraviolet light.
