Asus has revealed its 2022 lineup of Zenbook and Vivobook laptops at their recent event, The Pinnacle of Performance.
The lineup includes Zenbook Pro 16x OLED, Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED, a whole slate of Zenbook Pro series laptops, Zenbook S series, Vivobook Pro series, Vivobook S series, and Vivobook 13 slate unique editions. Check out their key specs below.
The Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is powered by up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 12900H processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU. It also features a 96 Wh battery, Asus IceCool Pro cooling system, white-RGB Asus intelligent lighting system, Asus Dial rotary controller, and an enlarged touchpad with haptic feedback.
The Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED comes with up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 12900H and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU. Its panel boasts a 2.8K OLED HDR 16:10 main Dolby Vision touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 gamut. Other highlights include Asus IceCool Plus technology and ScreenPad Plus secondary touchscreen. Its larger version, the Zenbook Pro 15 Duo OLED, was refreshed with the same processors and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060.
The Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED features the first 15.6-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED touchscreen in the world. It features Intel's 12th Gen Core i7 processor and their brand-new discrete Intel Arc A370M graphics. As a Flip model, Asus has equipped it with a 360° ErgoLift hinge. In addition to its Zenbook Pro lineup is the Zenbook Pro 17. It includes a 17.3-inch, 2.5K IPS NanoEdge Dolby Vision touchscreen with a 165 Hz refresh rate and Pantone certification. However, this model is powered by AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU.
The other Zenbook Series include the Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED and Zenbook S 13 OLED. The Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED's 360° ErgoLift hinge and 1.1 kg super chassis allows users to utilize the device as both a laptop and a tablet. Asus has truly refined the Zenbook S 13 Flip by torture-testing the hinge to ensure maximum reliability and constructing the laptop from premium magnesium-aluminum alloy in a sleek and compact unibody. With a thickness of only 14.9 mm, three USB-C ports, a microSD card reader, and a rather large 67 Wh battery, this device is extremely portable.
The other refreshed Zenbook is the Zenbook S 13 OLED. With a weight of only 1 kilogram and a thickness of 14.99 millimeters, you will hardly notice it in your bag. It is made of the same magnesium-aluminum alloy as its predecessor, the Flip, but it is now entirely powered by AMD, setting it apart. The Zenbook S 13 OLED is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor and Radeon 680M graphics. In addition, it includes a taller 16:10 2.8K OLED touchscreen display with Pantone validity. It is available in four sophisticated hues, including Ponder Blue, Aqua Celadon, Vestige Beige, and Refined White.
Asus Vivobook Pro series has always been the most affordable and powerful lineup for aspiring creators. Vivobook Pro 14X, 15X, and 16X OLED, as well as the Vivobook Pro 15 and 16 OLED, are among the new 2022 models unveiled by Asus. All offer powerful creator laptops with exceptional specifications at a remarkable price. They come with up to either the latest 12th Gen Intel i9 12900H or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX. In addition, they are equipped with up to 2TB of PCIe SSD storage, 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU. You can obtain displays with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz, a response time of 0.2 milliseconds, and a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. In addition, they include Asus's virtual DialPad for creative apps and a long-lasting 90 Wh battery.
The Vivobook S Series is the thinnest and lightest member of the Vivobook family, measuring just 17.99 millimeters in thickness and weighing just 1.6 kilograms. Despite their thinness and lightness, they offer exceptional performance. The Vivobook S lineup includes the 14X and 16X OLED models, as well as the 14 and 15 OLED models. The S 14X and 16X both feature premium-leaning, all-metal constructions that are available in elegant colors such as Midnight Black, Solar Silver, and Sand Grey. The S 14 and 15 feature a metal lid and a selection of youthful hues such as Indie Black, Neutral Gray, and Brave Green.
The Vivobook 13 Slate OLED Artist Editions concludes Asus's new lineup of laptops. As Asus has collaborated with both Philip Colbert and Steven Harrington to produce two limited editions of their versatile Vivobook 13 Slate 2-in-1, there are two limited editions available.
