
Netflix has issued its report for April 2022 ISP Speed Index for the Philippines, ranking specific internet service providers (ISPs) based on their performance.
According to the latest data, Converge ICT Solutions, Sky Cable, Globe Telecom, and PLDT shared the top spot, recording speeds of 3.2 Mbps. Compared to March 2022 rankings, there are no changes in positions.
Royal Cable came second place with an average speed of 3.0 Mbps.

Based on the report, Globe Telecom and PLDT have fiber and DSL (digital subscriber line) networks. Meanwhile. Sky Cable, Royal Cable, and Converge offer two different types of internet: fiber and cable.
Netflix's ISP Speed Index indicates which internet service providers offer the best watching experience during peak viewing hours. The chart is based on data collected from subscribers utilizing the video streaming platform.
The speed index is essential for Netflix streaming because its video content loads seamlessly on networks with low latency, packet loss, and jitter. Otherwise, users may encounter problems such as pixelization and buffering while watching videos.

Converge, Sky, Globe, and PLDT's score was comparable to other countries that experience exceptional Netflix speeds. Among the countries that reached the same 3.2 Mbps speeds are Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, France, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Paraguay, Poland, Taiwan, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, Uruguay, and Vietnam.
